The University has reached its golden jubilee year, and there are now only a few weeks left before the celebration of the founding date in October. Fifty years is a long time to remember the difficulties and trials that accompanied the founding and to rejoice that the difficulties have been overcome thanks to the many people who have worked for the University and the countless benefactors who have shown solidarity. The newly built and well-equipped Cardinal Foley Hall - the Tarek Ahmed Juffali Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences - attracts many students who believe in quality education and job security after graduation. The soon-to-open Student and Visitor Center, with fitness rooms, a theater auditorium, a visitor center and basketball court, and a terrace for recreation, will provide Bethlehem University with a state-of-the-art complex to serve the community. The University and its students are grateful for the unwavering support of the Catholic Church and faith-based organizations, countless individual donors, and the generosity of many "Bethlehemians" around the world. Over the years, Bethlehem University has broken new ground and continually renewed itself in a community that values and promotes interfaith acceptance, respect and tolerance for individual diversity. On the occasion of its Golden Jubilee, Bethlehem University is proud, blessed and grateful to God and to all its donors who continue to believe in the value of Christian education.
